France-bred Spirit One with Ioritz Mendizabal aboard, held off favored Archipenko, ridden by Kevin Shea, in Saturday's Grade I Arlington Million horse racing on turf in Arlington Heights, Ill. The victory in the 1 1/4 mile grass race gave Spirit One automatic entry into the $3 million Breeders' Cup Turf.
